I don't know about a thought experiment, but we are most certainly living the world's most disturbing tech experiment indeed. People like Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, Marc Andreessen and the like are absolute sociopaths capable of anything to turn the world into their idea of a video game that they can control. The rest of the people on Earth are just NPCs (non-player characters, as Elon Musk calls normal people) who don't belong in the world as they see it. So the NPCs are dispensable, we are dispensable to them. I am certain that the 2024 election was manipulated by an algorithm, how it was delivered an NPC can only guess, but unless they eliminate all the PC (player characters) involved in that manipulation, the truth will eventually come out. Whether you and I, and the rest of the NPCs will live to see it, I do not know. There is also another way to set the record straight - recount the paper ballots in all swing states, starting with Pennsylvania. For this we need some brave NPCs with legislative and/or judicial power.
There's so much that's frightening and downright horrifying about the Trump of it all, but I tend to shudder the most over Peter Thiel's role in this. The more I learn about him, his role in "The PayPal Mafia," his involvement with Palantir, and his relationship with the Republican Party, the more I wonder if we're actually living through some kind of "Terminator" prequel. Are these oligarchs and kleptocrats so selfish and short-sighted that they might actually ignite the apocalypse?
I wish they (whoever they are) could get you on Joe Rogan or another similar podcast to get this message out. However, in one of your previous videos featuring Rogan and that guy from Onnitt, you effectively sealed the deal on that. A great post about it.
This is all good stuff. I read "Conspiracy" by Ryan Holiday a couple of years ago and realized that Thiel has patience and cash, so I wouldn't put it past him to do something like this.
If Joe Rogan was truly as "anti-establishment" as he so often claimed to be, he'd have a very real scary story to run on his show and enrage his audience with. But since he's actually a friendly propaganda arm for these billionaire oligarchs, he'll just get mopey whenever Elon Musk goes on his show and ignores his questions while playing with his favorite AI that curses.
